Thicker Than Water. And yes, libraries: The Mystery new guy who appears at school and hangs out at once with Becca. It does matter. And as an aspiring writer myself, I know how much support can count — so I support my favourite authors, whether they already be millionaires or high school students publishing their work freely online. In Storm he is a little bit over protected to his younger brothers but his has his reasons and i totally respect with how is dealing raising his brothers.
Tons of free books, all legal! It upsets them. It sucks. Piracy is low, the epitome of uncool. I hate it. Piracy is definitely not cool. I promise. And yes, libraries: People should use them or buy the books, obviously. Using libraries actually helps libraries, authors and readers.
Oh my goodness, I totally know! And I appreciate you letting me know. I was using it as an example of the sheer frequency. Public shaming! Come on people!! Excellent points Brigid!! And so many people asked, why would you buy a book when you can just read it for free?
I love books. I want to keep reading them. Books can only come out if authors write them. Authors can only write them if they have the time, the means, and the money.
And as an aspiring writer myself, I know how much support can count — so I support my favourite authors, whether they already be millionaires or high school students publishing their work freely online. Being on the author side of this obviously turns my book blogger persona away from this, too.
One piracy site I contacted about my own titles never once responded, and another site, it took quite a lot of emails for them to acknowledge me and offer to take my books down.
Anyway, long story short: Though, that leaves me wondering: I dunno. Good topic. Crikey someone from Homeland Security…gah!! I use the library sooooo much. Get yourself a library card and get a password and BAM! Too easy. It goes to my Adobe Digital app and I read it. I get like a couple weeks for it.
I bought an Abbi Glines book from Big W today, I visited the library, makes me feel good to do the right thing. I have never gone to a piracy site as I would feel too nervous to do it. Any book an author gives me, stays with me digital Just got to be responsible people!! I just get a bit in trouble for being overdue…but that is another story…sshhh!!
Really homeland security visited your page? This novel features an interesting story line and a strong heroine with realistic reactions to difficult situations. The writing is accessible, and the plot offers a new take on the supernatural genre, despite a logic flaw regarding why Elementals with power over one element are considered dangerous, while others, with even greater powers, are valued.
Because of the romantic relationships, this debut novel invites possible comparisons with Twilight. It has great appeal to readers of supernatural fiction, as well anyone looking for a fast-paced story, realistic and relatable female protagonists, and serious issues that show up, surprisingly, in the last couple of chapters.
It contains scenes involving underage drinking and sexual violence, making it most appropriate for older teens. No redistribution permitted.
Awesome paranormal powers, a love triangle, risk-taking adventure, and thesecret of Becca's connection to the Merrick brothers create excitingchemistry in this edgy page-turner that will appeal to older teen andadult paranormal suspense fans, both male and female. Brigid Kemmerer's gift forcharacterization and pitch-perfect voice combine with gripping story and perfect pacing to make Storm a riveting an utterly addictiveread. Action packed from start to finish, Brigid's nailed a perfectbalance between excitement, romance and supernatural to create something magic.

Instead we have something fresh and unique idea at least to my eyes: Elements The story begins with Becca Chandler after her defence class one light night discover that at the parking school that Chris Merrick was beating up so hard.
And she didn't hesitate at all and saved his life. But from this moment everything change in her life because she realise that from now on she is a target. The Merrick brothers are not ordinary. You know why?
They're Elementals, each with a strong power over an individual element - water, earth, fire and air. Yes you got it right Elements We are introduced to The Merrick brothers which every single one is unique and I can't deny that i felt every single one sounds weird i know: He is the oldest brother and he is the element of Earth.
In Storm he is a little bit over protected to his younger brothers but his has his reasons and i totally respect with how is dealing raising his brothers. You have to read the prequel novella what are you waiting for? When Gabriel was all the flirt Nick was the calm and the geek side.
You got to love them both Becca the female protagonist: Its one of the rare times that i am in female's side. Becca was strong heroine consider the fact all the bad and horrible things she have been to school and an incredibly emotionally strong character.
My respects to her seriously! And at the end we have Hunter.. The Mystery new guy who appears at school and hangs out at once with Becca. There was something about him that it drag me into him almost instant the moment his comes in our story which He is complex as well as The Merrick brothers He carry his one secrets and mysteries and in the end no matter how the story progressed i still wanted to found out more about him. Generally as a debut novel it was a fantastic one.
Lots of action, actually it was non stop, lots of romance and so many secrets and mystery that you wont be able to turn it down. A novel so compelling so addictive to read and so fun! The Merrick brothers were meant to be vampires. Arent you happy that they are not? One person found this helpful. All the school has heard the rumors about Becca Chandler that paint her as a slut.
Though untrue, Becca knows her ex-boyfriend is behind them. She settles into her role as an outcast and tries to not let the taunts and suggestive talk get to her.
Everything takes an unexpected turn when Becca interrupts the beating of Chris Merrick. She runs off the perpetrators and rescues the badly wounded Chris, only to find herself entangled in a feud she never knew existed. I was really surprised by this book. The mythology of this book draws upon elemental powers water, air, earth, fire , but Brigid Kemmerer includes aspects into it that make this book feel unique in its portrayal of this.
There are some really big issues that are addressed in this book and I thought Brigid Kemmerer did a good job, but there is still a bit of room for improvement. She did exhibit some behaviors that would be expected, but during some moments her torture at school seemed to be forgotten. I liked Becca, but I really loved the rest of the characters in this book. All the Merricks really felt well defined in their own right and they each had unique personalities.
I enjoyed Hunter and I really liked how he treated Becca. Towards the end he got a bit annoying, though. There is a love-triangle in this book. One relationship feels really natural and the other ends up feeling rushed. There was no insta-love and for that I am grateful. This book progressed at a nice pace and I loved all the twists and turns. The ending was satisfying and I loved that all the mysteries in this book are solved by the end. There are some heavy issues addressed in this book like rape and bullying.
There was a bunch of sexual innuendos, lots of language and violence. See all reviews. Amazon Giveaway allows you to run promotional giveaways in order to create buzz, reward your audience, and attract new followers and customers. Learn more about Amazon Giveaway.
